This course is intended for those seeking a career in the mass communication industry and aims to develop their skills in dealing with existing mass media and with the challenge of new communications technology.
It will inculcate on participants the fundamentals of using the tools of public relations, advertising, marketing and journalism in particular, as the key industries of the field, to disseminate information to various publics.
Upon completion and graduation of the course, students will have:
In-depth training in practical skills such as writing for various media, marketing, management practices and research methods
Sound theoretical knowledge of concepts of communication
Ability to use the tools of the key media industries, understand the concepts of mass communication and how they are related to their chosen industries, and adapt the skills they have acquired to their projects and assignments to their workplace.

The course comprises 8 modules of study conducted on both full-time and part-time basis

Day / evening classes taught by lecturers with industry-experience
Method of Assessment:
For theory modules, students are assessed based on coursework / projects / examinations.
For practical modules, students are assessed based on presentation & dissertation / project components.
Students need to pass all components in order to pass the module.
Examinations are typically conducted in the months of April, August and December respectively.
