Programme Objectives

This programme is designed for those seeking a career in Engineering or its related fields. The programme is also appropriate for prospective executives who would like to acquire knowledge and practical exposure in electronic practical skills, computer application of engineering to analysis of electrical and electronic methods of engineering design and engineering science. In addition, technical laboratory experience allows students to develop physical design and applications from conceptual and theoretical frameworks. It is particularly designed to equip students with the required engineering qualification and expertise needed in computer engineering and electronics engineering of the 21st century.

Graduates will be well qualified for careers as computer engineering in a wide field of industries such as e-commerce, e-education, automated manufacturing, aviation, transportation, telecommunications and more.

Admission Requirements
  • ¡®A¡¯ Levels or equivalent conducted in English
  • ¡®A¡¯ Levels or equivalent conducted in English (Must do English Communication)
  • Minimum 3 GCE ¡®O¡¯ Levels or equivalent with English (Must do Critical Thinking and Learning Skills as enrichment modules
  • Minimum 3 GCE ¡®O¡¯ Levels or equivalent without English (Must do English Communication, then Critical Thinking and Learning Skills as enrichment modules)
  • ITE NITEC, COS, NTC Holder
  • Other qualifications deemed acceptable by Informatics Academy

Programme Structure and Duration

The course comprises 8 modules of study conducted on both full-time and part-time basis

Intake:
April / August / December
Duration:
Full Time : Minimum of 8 months
Part Time: Minimum of 12 months
Programme Delivery:
  • Day / evening classes taught by lecturers with industry-experience
Method of Assessment:
  • 40% assignment and 60% examination
