The English Communication module is design to assist students to improve their English language skills. Our Qualifying English Test results, will show us which level of English that student of English the student needs to undertake. |
Critical Thinking |
This enrichment course introduces the use of critical thinking skills to enhance their academic and non-academic endeavours. Students will develop the ability to reason clearly and critically, and interpretation of information for effective decision-making. Decision making involves identification of problem and facts, generating the possible courses of action and selecting the best solution. These are essential skills that students should develop not only for academic purposes but more so for professional and personal growth. |
Learning Skills |
The course aims to develop in the students the essential skills in learning including time management, goal setting, stress management, effective research and study skills, group learning and techniques in passing assessments. |

H1001 Essential of Psychology |
This module will introduce students to all the major aspects of Psychology studies. It will include the concepts on Psychology as a science, procedures for research, neuroscience, sensation and perception, learning, memory, cognition, development and social psychology. Students will be introduced to various psychology researches and appreciating journal writing, data collection and results. |
H1002 Psychology of Human Development |
This module, cover the facts and concepts in the child development from birth to adolescence. Topics will include perception and learning at infancy, child's growth in terms of brain, body and motor skills. More topics on emotional, cognitive and intellectual development will be included. Social issues related to family, peers and friends. Fundamental changes in adolescence, such as biological, cognitive and social changes will covered. Adolescent's involvement with family, peer, group, work and leisure. |
H1003 Cultural Psychology |
To introduce the student to the differing values, beliefs and attitudes of various racial and ethnic groups - analyzes patterns of role learning as they vary within subpopulations, focusing on changes over time in the values, attitudes and goals of both the general culture and subcultures. H1004 Organizational Psychology and Ergonomics This module will focus on the concepts and theories that are applicable for the industrial or organizational setting. Topics covered will include individual assessment and performance measurement, training and development, motivation, emotion, leadership, work group behavior and handling stress related issues. |
H1005 Introduction to Social Psychology |
This module will include a detailed coverage on the four major areas in social psychology. The areas of study will be research method in social psychology, perceiving people and event, evaluating our social world, understanding our place within the group and interacting with others. |
W1002 Principles of Quantitative Methods |
This module will introduce students to the different statistical analysis used in psychological research. Students will be taught various descriptive and inferential statistics. The data analysis techniques will focus on test, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression analysis, repeated measures for ANOVA, Nonparametric statistics for categorical and ordinal data. |
W1004 Principles of Business Communications |
This course will introduce the detailed procedures involved in psychology research work. It will emphasize the importance in formulating a research work and the steps involved. Students will be taught on how to do a literature review, data collection, the methodology, data-analysis and concluding the results. Training will include the use of APA style writing and citing other research work. Statistical calculations will be?revisited in this module to cover more advanced calculations such as single subject, within subjects and multivariate design and analysis. |
B1003 Introduction to Information Technology |
This course will train students on the use of computer package, MS Excel in data analysis. The course will comprise of teaching students on the installation and familiarization of the computer package. Students will learn to organize the spreadsheet for data input, coding in the formulae and using the tool pack. Results are to be obtained from the computer package and presented for interpretation. At the end of the training students should be able to handle fairly large data collected and analyzed for more advanced statistical analysis. |
