Programme Objectives

This programme is designed for those seeking a career in Accounting and Finance. The programme is also appropriate for prospective executives who would like to acquire knowledge on Accounting. It includes training on the application of accounting concepts, standards and the various techniques in financial and management accounting and reporting, financial analysis and the evaluation of financial performances and also includes business finance, for the purpose of strategic planning, financial and management accounting and control.

Admission Requirements
  • International Advanced Diploma in Accounting
  • Other diploma or advanced diploma qualifications in accounting related fields may be accepted for entry subject to the approval of the University of Portsmouth (Informatics will contact the University in the UK in such cases)

 

Programme Structure and Duration
The course comprises 7 modules of study conducted on both full-time and part-time basis

Intake:
January / May / September
Duration:
Full Time : Minimum of 12 months
Part Time: Minimum of 16 months
Programme Delivery:
  • Day / evening classes taught by lecturers with industry-experience
Method of Assessment:
  • Assessment is via a mix of written examinations and individual or group coursework assignments
