Programme Objectives

This programme is designed to provide a foundational learning for students in Business,specialising in the field of Finance. It allows students to understand and develop theoretical frameworks for deeper analysis of other business and finance modules.

At the end of the programme, the students will be able to:
  • understand the accounting process, financial environment, financial risk and management;
  • manage investments through the use of their analytical skills;
  • provide financial advisory services; and
  • apply decision making techniques in financial planning or finance that is sought after today

Programme Structure and Duration
Intake:

Duration:
Part Time: Minimum of 24 months
Programme Delivery:

Day / evening classes taught by lecturers with industry-experience

Method of Assessment:

To be awarded the qualification, students must pass all modules of the course. Students are assessed based on assignments and examinations for every module. Final grade for each module is based on Coursework ¨C 40% and Final Examinations ¨C60% (subject to changes). Students need to pass both the examination components and the coursework components in order to pass the module. Strategic Marketing Management (Analysis and Decision) is assessed through open book examinations. Final grading for the degree award is Year 2 ¨C 30% and Year 3 - 70%.

Note: Year 2 and 3 examinations are typically conducted in the months of January, May and September.
