This course is to introduce the participants to the basics of Microsoft Excel and what can be expected of this spreadsheet software. It will familiarize the user to the Excel interface and basic editing and formatting functions. The participants will also learn on Excel essentials such as using formula and functions.

At the end of this course participants should be able to:
- Identify and open excel files.
- Use the office assistant and Help.
- Create and navigate in an excel worksheet, select a range of cells, and editing data.
- Create word documents and applying formating on the text.
- Setting up the header and footer functions and using the various break functions.
- Working with two or more documents at once and interlink between them.
- Using the proofing tools.
- Drawing tables and using them efficiently
- Through the use of templates, create standard documents. eq. memo
