The International Diploma in Business Computing programme is validated by NCC and awarded by Informatics Academy (IA).

The course was specially designed for students who already hold GCE 'A' Levels qualification or its equivalence. It allows students to attain a more in-depth understanding in the areas of computing and information technology. Upon completion of this International Diploma in Business Computing, students will proceed on to the International Advanced Diploma in Business Computing.

The assessment of a student during the course will be based on the following methods:

Continuous Assessment
This is a progressive assessment of a student by the teaching staff. It results from assessments of both individual exercises, assignments, case studies and/or progress tests set at various stages of a course, and from formal observation of performance in projects and classroom work.

Assignments are assessed on appropriate criteria such as:

• Analytical skills such as fact-finding, comprehension, penetration, judgement;
• Communication skills in interviewing, presentation and report writing;
• Technical knowledge of syllabus topics
• Ability to apply methodologies, techniques and the understanding of general management

• Technical knowledge of syllabus topics
• Memory recall
• Ability to apply the knowledge learnt in the course

• The project provides a deeper appreciation and understanding of programming and web publishing.
  

• Duration of 4 weeks (depends on individual subjects) is allowed for students to finish their assignments. These make up 50% of the coursework total.

• For most of the modules of the course, there will be one progress test for each module. Duration of each progress test is 2 hours followed by the review of test questions.
