I have just completed my Year One, do I have a choice of Current ADIC and New IADIC?
All students proceeding from Year One to Year Two MUST take up the new ADIC as the old structure will be phased out eventually.

I am currently taking some subjects, do I have a choice of the Current DIC/ADIC and New IDIC/IADIC?
Yes, you have a choice if you are a student who has completed 7 or more units. You are allowed to stay on the current structure and complete the course. However, the new structure offers more subject and university choices, greater flexibility and faster completion. All other students are encouraged to do the conversion as soon as possible. The last exam term for the old structure is Aug 2004.

Will the new IDIC/IADIC costs more?
No, the new courses will have the same price as the current courses because they both require students to do 8 units in total. The additional cost that may be incurred is when students decide not to re-unit a subject and opt to do another subject instead.

What is the deadline for making the decision to convert?
The deadline is 12 Sep 2003. The last SOC for modules in the old structure is 10 Oct 2003.

Will there be any exemptions for the units that I have already done but are no longer offered in the new structure?
Yes. Students who have completed some units are allowed exemptions. Please refer to the guidelines given in the FAQs for IDIC/IADIC for the details.
7.
Are the old and new courses equivalent qualifications?
Yes, they are equivalent. They are both recognized and awarded by NCC Education. The change is structural only. The purpose of the new structure is to give students more flexibility and more options so that should they find difficulty completing certain subjects, they can always try out some other subjects and move on towards successful completion.
8.
How do I go about converting from the old structure to the new structure?
First you have to write an email to PurpleTrain to inform us about your decision to convert. We will then verify your status and explain how the conversion is best done for you. You will have to indicate your acceptance of the conversion plan in writing.
9.
When will I be informed about my successful conversion from?
As soon as you have written to tell us that you are accepting the conversion plan, we will inform you via email when you will be able to access the subjects you have registered for.
