• Candidates should possess the following:
• Applicants must be aged 20 years and above
• Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies
• Advanced Diploma in Business Administration
• Other Qualifications as deemed suitable by Informatics Academy and University of Portsmouth

In order to be eligible for a Bachelor's Degree a candidate must have acquired 360 credit points from units studied at all levels. A candidate is accepted onto the final year course provided they have already been granted 240 credit points by Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) in their previous Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels.

Applicants for the course will be considered from potential students offering a wide range of qualifications including prior experience where appropriate. A student's level of ability at the start of the course is more important than specific subject knowledge.

• Institute for the Management of Information System (IDPM) Higher Diploma.
• BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Studies.
• Other Diplomas/Advance Diplomas/Higher Diplomas from IT related fields subject to acceptance by the University of Portsmouth
• Holders of Advanced Diploma in Information Technology are required to take bridging modules which consist of C2001,C2002,C2027
• Holders of other tertiary or professional education (not issued by Polytechnics/Institutions in Singapore) are required to take the Professional Integration Programme (PIP) which consists of C2001,C2002,C2027
