Informatics Student Council Investiture 2009
29 May 2009

The Informatics Student's Council (ISC) was conceived for the purpose of recruiting student leaders who would be able to serve the student community with passion and altruism.

This group of hand-picked young men and women, would be instrumental in organising activities for students and in bridging the perceived gap between the school's management and the student body.
All of them would have met stringent criteria in qualifying to sit on the council, namely in the areas of:

• Academic ability
• Time management
• Leadership potential
• Communication skills
• Articulation ability
• Selflessness and commitment

All members of the council also have to go through two rounds of interviews and a leadership camp, where their ability is assessed.

Serving on the council is a rewarding experience for the chosen few, as it brings opportunities for a select group of students to work closely with the management, and to hone their planning, leading, organising and teamwork skills. These skills are put to the test when it comes to working with scarce resources, motivating team members and in being self-sufficient in raising funds for school activities.

Following the ISC Investiture on 29 May, the 4th Students Council was voted into office in June 2009 and comprises energetic and dynamic young individuals from China, Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia. We're confident that the latest group who've taken office will continue to uphold the high standards we've come to expect of members of the ISC.

Let's welcome all new members of the Informatics Student's Council for academic year 2009 - 2010!
