Informatics Sports Carnival
26 June 2009

The day started bright and shiny. Our campus was buzzing with excitement as students and staff got busy with preparations for our annual Sports Day.
This year, our Sports Day was celebrated as a Sports Carnival, the first of its kind, held at our school campus. This is a departure from our traditional sports day that comprises of track and field events held at a Sports Council stadium.
Everyone was clad in either casual or sports attire of different colours, ready to cheer for the various sports teams.
We had our very own "NBA finals", "FA cup", "Olympic Table Tennis", "Thomas Cup Badminton", "World Cricket Cup", "Campus Run", "Sudoko Cup", "The Great Informatics Sale" and "Informatics Food Expo", to name a few.
The day was filled with sporting events, games, food and a shopping bazaar managed by our students. Carnival game stores were also set up to complete the sporting experience.
It was indeed an unforgettable event that we have on campus; we’re all looking forward to it next year!

Informatics Badminton Team Observed Aviva Open Singapore 2009
25 February 2009

It was Singapore's biggest badminton event of the year as world class badminton players battle for glory at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
As it coincides with the mid term break, Mr Gary Kong (Sports Lecturer) took the chance to bring the our badminton team to watch the qualifier matches that were open to public.
It was an exciting time for our badminton team, to be able to watch the live matches and to learn game techniques from the professionals as they play.
At the same time, members enjoyed the time that they spent with each other as a team.

Basketball Friendly - Informatics & Chinese Student Council
30 May & 1 June 2009

Basketball is one of the popular sports well liked by our students.
Members of Informatics Basketball Team were thrilled to volunteer their mixed team to play against the Chinese Student Council (CSC) Basketball Team.
On early Saturday morning (30 May), our basketball court was filled with supporters ready to witness the action.
Crowds cheer as players move swiftly across the basketball court with their goal.
It was unfortunate that the good weather did not last, the match had to be called off after half time due to wet floor.
CSC was leading the score.
The match continued on the following Monday (1 June) with a good weather in the afternoon. Despite the match postponement, it didn't looked like CSC was going to hand the game over.
Members of the CSC Basketball Team worked hard to pull their score away each time our team tried to close the score gap.
After 4 quarters of 12 minutes play, the CSC team eventually walked away with a victorious win of 41 - 34.
Even so, friendship was fostered and match experience was gained by our basketball team.
Cheers!
