India Independence Day

On 15 August 2008, the Informatics staff and students gathered around the school canteen in celebration of the Indian Independence Day.

The country’s national anthem was played while her flag was proudly displayed on the school’s canteen projector.

To make this event a more significant one, 3 students dressed up as Mahatma Gandhi, Indra Gandhi and Bhagat Singh, to represent the great influencers who helped shape the nation’s independence movement.

India gained independence from the British rule on this day in the year 1947, which also led to the country being divided into India and Pakistan.
