Student Council Elections

Informatics Education Singapore Pte. Ltd. unveiled its new lineup of the Informatics Students Council (ISC). Handpicked through a rigorous selection process, that involved an endorsement from various teaching staff and a grueling series of interviews conducted by management staff, each of the candidates below has proven that they have leadership potential.

The ISC will comprise of a core team and an auxiliary team. The student council election which was held on 9th May 2008 with the purpose of voting for principal office bearers into management positions on ISC. The key positions were (1) President, (2) VP Finance and (3) VP Governance. The selection was made from the ten students selected to sit onto the central committee of the ISC. The appointment holders were voted in on the basis of votes cast by each member of the ISC, as well as the mentors to the ISC and selected members of the academic staff, who have had the opportunity to work with all of the students on the central committee. The final structure of the ISC will consist of the core team which includes eleven members, namely the newly elected President, Thaya from Sri Lanka, and two Vice Presidents, Nethra Murali from India and Tosin Adewumi from Nigeria, each in charge of Finance and Governance, respectively.
