Informatics Fund Raising

Informatics recently held a fund raising drive within the school campus collecting donations from students and staff for the 2 disasters that struck China and Myanmar sometime in May this year. Initiated by the management of Informatics, and headed by the President of The Informatics Student Council, Thaya Sivasooriyakumaran, and Executive Director Mr David D’Souza, the week long effort managed to garner a total amount of more than SG$10,000 in cash donations. With the support from selected students and staff from China and Myanmar, the donations collected separately for each country have been passed to the Red Cross Society in Singapore and the Chinese Embassy respectively.

According to Mr D’Souza, “The gesture of generosity and goodwill shown by the students and staff here has been very heartwarming and inspiring. We at Informatics give our condolences to the families who are affected by these catastrophes and are sure that the monies collected from this drive will be put to good use by the respective authorities.”
