DeepaRaya 2008 - Deepavali and Ramadan celebrations

Jointly organized by the South East Asian fellowship and Informatics, students and staff came together to celebrate the DeepaRaya 2008.

This annual celebration commemorates the 2 festivals of Ramadan and Deepavali.

Mr. Sultaf, CEO of Informatics Nepal, was the Guest-of-honour of this event, which saw 3 students from India, Nepal and Myanmar as emcees of the night.

The DeepaRaya night was a kaleidoscope of cultural diversity embodied in the many dance performances such as the Bharatnatyam Indian classical dance and the Dhandiya sticks dance, performed by students of various nationalities.

Audiences also feasted their eyes on the highlight of the night – the up-tempo Bollywood dance, that rounded up the night of beautiful colours, glitters and rhythm
